My initial trigger for purchasing the 1200w Nutribullet Blender in January 2020 was the popularity and price. While not cheap, the price was about half that of other blenders. The moral of the story is you get what you pay for. The first problem was an oil leak from the jug, a problem that started about 4 months after purchase. After calling customer service I discovered that the jug is not machine washable. I think I should have read the instructions more carefully. Nutribullet sent me a new pitcher. Now, a little over 1 year from the date of purchase, the unit is losing power and there is a burning smell coming from the engine. This cannot be attributed to user error. I read the instructions and was very careful not to run the motor in blend mode for longer than the set time (although sometimes the products didn't fully blend). For my next blender I'll spend a little more for a better quality product (different brand!)
