This seems to be a common problem with the Chevy HHR. We have 2 2009 HHRs. It looks like the OEM solenoids die after about 33,000 miles. We made both solenoids in one of them. This is the first Dorman replacement we've bought for our second HHR. The original GM solenoid uses a 10mm bolt. This Dorman replacement uses an 8mm cap screw. Super easy to install. Don't forget to change the oil when installing. Dorman has a little label that says the same thing. Time will tell if this is permanent. In general, I like Dorman products.
