Gigantic! Not sure if dishwasher safe.

We were looking for the best way to grate parmesan (this stuff is HARD to grate) and it wasn't exactly what we were looking for. It's really big and needs a lot of storage space. So I figured this was some sort of small replacement for a small hand grater. No, it's really very big. And unfortunately, the smallest grater we could get hold of is the same as the largest side of a traditional grater. By the time you've got everything together and taped to the counter, you might already have your grater out and ready to get to work. Also, there really aren't any washing instructions. Can it be washed in the dishwasher? I don't know, but I can throw my grater in the dishwasher with no problem. There is also a random round button on the side (penny sized which you can see in the photos). We have no idea what it's for and the instructions don't mention it. The instructions (on the side of the box instead of the traditional instruction sheet) are ridiculous and not very helpful. I will give it away. It just takes up too much space and is too bulky. It works great, but I already have a favorite mandolin and don't need another. Now back to figuring out the best way to finely grate parmesan.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Makes me angry
