Just returned. A constant flow is not maintained. A few other reviews have noted this, and a few people seem to have accepted it ("It's okay - just keep pressing the lightbulb"). No, that's not how siphon pumps should work - once the flow starts, it should continue without the need for further compression. Aside from the hassle of constantly squeezing the bulb (and the time it takes to empty the tank that way), the constant squeezing will cause the bulb to fail sooner rather than later. I have been using siphon pumps for many years and have never encountered this problem. It is possible that the particular device I received is faulty and some devices are working properly, but I will not continue this experiment. I returned it for a refund and will find another product. I cannot recommend this product.
