Perfect fit and they work great. My DeWalt DW988 has stopped smoking with the new brushes, which is good because this drill is too young to smoke. Ha. Ha. But seriously, there were no instructions, but YouTube exists for it. Just google "dw988 brush replacement" and find the video you like. You will need a torx screwdriver to remove the back cover, needle nose pliers to remove/replace the spade terminals, and a flat head screwdriver to pry out the old brush assemblies. Have fun drilling!
