I have an older detector and I used it to install it and it has held up really great. The only movement was when I hit a lot of bumps and the summer sun hit causing the detector to slip by 1mm, narrowly, and that's only because my daughter's windshield was tilted down, but it held up with no issues, and at least I know that if I buy a new detector I'll just keep using this mount knowing it's held tight. Now if only I could get one of these to keep my wife's DVR.
