Review on Olympus M Zuiko Digital 25Mm Black by Jeff Driscoll

Olympus MFT Version "Nifty Fifty "

I haven't had a "Great Fifty" prime lens in decades, but I wanted a simple "all-around" prime lens with a long focal length and it's good for counting. It's a bit large for an MFT prime lens, but it matches the bright aperture and weather protection of the Olympus "Pro" line. The image quality and build quality are exceptional. The 1.2 aperture helps blur the background in a way that I can't achieve with my 2.8 zooms or even a 1.8 prime lens, but the image is also crisp on all objects, that fall into the focal plane are very sharp. The lens is solidly built and I LOVE that it includes a manual focus clutch to lock focus with a simple pull on the lens. Anyone looking for a 50mm focal length lens (full frame equivalent) should see this bad boy at the top of their list.

Oh what a lens, sharp and fast. I love this thing.
