High quality lens but the price is right.

Excellent lens. The optical quality is excellent. Big opening. Focuses relatively quickly. Sharp, wide open, but better in corners with a stop. The biggest critic is the price. Alternatives to this lens include the Panasonic Leica 25mm f1.4 and the Olympus 25mm f1.8, both of which are half or less than half the price of the 25mm f1.2 PRO. A small point of criticism is the form factor. It is larger and heavier than the alternatives above. I think the vast majority of Micro Four Thirds users can…

Olympus MFT Version "Nifty Fifty "

I haven't had a "Great Fifty" prime lens in decades, but I wanted a simple "all-around" prime lens with a long focal length and it's good for counting. It's a bit large for an MFT prime lens, but it matches the bright aperture and weather protection of the Olympus "Pro" line. The image quality and build quality are exceptional. I grossly underestimated the convenience of switching from auto to manual sliding focus ring. This is a really amazing feature that really surprised me when I started using it. The only downside to the lens, to be honest, is the mounting system. I love my Polypus camera and lens, but the interchangeability…

this is the best everyday prime lens for m43

this is the best everyday prime lens for m43 in 2016. If you can afford this lens, buy it. I think this will be my new everyday lens. Before the Olympus 25mm f1.2, my everyday lens was the Panasonic 25mm f1.4. The Panasonic 25mm f1.4 is a great lens. Although in my opinion the Olympus 25mm f1.2 lens wide open gives sharper images and is weatherproof. The cool thing is that this lens is pretty sharp at f1.2, 3D effects appear in the images and the bokeh is very soft. The lens also focuses…
