Traffic laws in my state changed recently—we can no longer hold GPS devices (or phones) while driving. I was a bit apprehensive about this as I like to have my GPS on hand so I can keep an eye on it and not miss a turn. I also got stressed trying to examine the mounts and seeing how many complaints there were about the mounts not staying in place or not allowing for eye level mounting. I'm so glad I chose this mount. It stays just above my bike, slightly to the right, and I actually see better GPS than when I was holding it. So much safer! And even though I've only been using it for a week, I gave the bobby pin a few twists and it stayed in place. And I did almost nothing to install it - I literally just placed it where I wanted it and it didn't move due to the weight of the base of the beanbag and the friction on the bottom. Very very happy with it. One thing to note, I have a Garmin Drive and all you have to do is slide the GPS into the mount's round ball until it clicks into place. I didn't understand this and at first scolded the company/customer service - they were excellent and responded immediately. Thanks, Lade City.
