All the birds I have ever had have been switched to this food. I have had parrots and cockatiels of all ages, sizes and origins (both pet store bred and hand bred) and have NEVER had to work on the translation. This food is like bird crack! They like the taste, smell and color. I currently have two cockatiels that were born and raised on a seed diet and all I had to do was fill their plate with it and they were hooked. I just love this food - it's relatively inexpensive, smells and looks great, and is a lot less messy than a seed mix. All of you who have fed your birds seed know exactly what I'm talking about: discarded seeds and empty shells EVERYWHERE. This food is different! Keep in mind that your bird may reject some of the pellets if they are picky about colors. Ellie hated greens and left the green pellets in the bowl and ate the rest. If you have more than one bird, this problem is less likely. I'd recommend a small pellet for cockatiels, although the brand suggests you buy a medium size - the smaller size is more in line with the type of seed cockatiels prefer, so they're more likely to eat it. Once you change your bird, you'll notice an improvement in feather quality, mood, and overall health. Just buy it already. This is the best choice you will ever make.
