A bit difficult to attach to the cage without a second person. But it's amazing. The line is out of reach of the birds. I check it often for damage and know it doesn't get too hot for my budgie. In winter he sleeps directly on it.

Works as described, my Goffin cockatoo doesn't get too hot and doesn't bother him in his cage. However, when I let him out of the cage and looked away, he quickly gnawed through the cord. Luckily he wasn't shocked. If your bird doesn't come out of the cage you should be fine, but other than that the line is very tempting to curious beaks.

I was so excited to get this for my green-cheeked parakeet as it's getting cold in Michigan. When I opened it, the cord on the back was already frayed. So not sure if it was returned earlier and they just repackaged and resold it? But I assumed it must be new so I installed everything, hooked it up and waited for heat. And kept waiting. Never got hot. I've been waiting all day no heat I think I'll be back. Really disappointed.

I don't have pictures yet but the item I received comes with an upgraded cable that has 2-3 feet of protected, fully enclosed cable. It is then connected to a small adapter with a very thin, narrow cable, which then plugs into the wall. I have 2 cockatiels and live in a northern state where winter nights can sometimes fall below freezing. I was interested in these heaters because I needed a way to ensure they were warm enough at night since my bedroom (where their night cage is located) is not very warm.
