I bought this heater to heat my small plastic hermit crab terrarium. The product is advertised as suitable for use in plastic terrariums on the Revain website and on Zoo Med's own website. This is also indicated in the instructions accompanying the product. However, upon opening the product I found that the heater itself states that it is for use in glass terrariums only. Also, the white backing specifically indicates that the heater is not safe to use on plastic. Do not purchase this heater for use in a plastic terrarium until clarification from Zoo Med.
