On a 2011 Chevy, this product adds a locking mechanism and replaces 2 parts of your truck (a center stud bolt and a tiny metal mounting plate). There are 6 steps. Only step 3 is unclear and the diagram is useless (this is where the small plate that came with your Chevy slides out and is replaced with a lockable mounting insert). Even if you have no experience, the entire installation will take no more than 20 minutes; twice as much if you need to remove the rear door plastic panel, which is held in place by 12 screws; three times as much if you toss some screws in the grass and spend 20 minutes looking for them.
