I just got done installing around eight of these handles at a friends house to help her out and replace some of her older doorhandles. although their appearance is good, they have several big disadvantages. first, the tongue of the doorhandle that sticks into the other door to keep it closed sometimes walks up and you have to turn the handle once or twice to unlock the tongue so that the door will close and stay closed. another problem is although most of them installed fine and from the inside you can effectively lock the door, for some of them it does not lock for whatever reason and I couldn’t figure it out. So that even though you use the lock function the door won’t lock.It took a while for me to do this work, and I kind of think I’m going to pay somebody to just install something else for me because it’s frustrating. Something like this, it doesn’t matter what it cost. Even if it’s free it’s not worth using if it doesn’t work right. I don’t recommend this item.
