I chuckle to myself every time I see an article about the ongoing battle between storage lids and bases. Ziplock has been my solution for many years. There's a not-so-deep square and a deeper square with interchangeable lids, and then there's this larger size that I use for things like stew, "enough for the army" or (no lid) "too much farmers market" fruit and Vegetables 3 sizes, 2 cap sizes. It's that easy. (FYI, I unload foods before reheating them in the microwave.) They work in the pantry, fridge, and freezer and last a long time. I found that the only way to break them was to throw a fully loaded frozen container on the ground; Few would survive this test. Try my solution: It's simple, inexpensive and reliable.
