I needed a thick piece of thin rubber mat for use under a truck battery. I bought a custom steel battery box and an Odyessy battery. After the box was installed and the battery snapped into place, I noticed that the battery had moved about 1/4 inch from side to side. I used a rubber mat and cut it to fit the bottom of the battery compartment, inserted the battery and locked it in place. Because the mat was only 1/16th thick, it didn't interfere with the locking bracket over the battery. Now it's solid and doesn't move at all.
