Rubber is quite expensive. I wish it had come flat but they roll it up and it's quite difficult to get it to stay flat. I used this to make new non-slip inserts for my car's compartments. I also cut out small discs to tape under my bedposts to keep my bed from sliding on the hard wood floor when I lie down or when my dog runs and jumps on my bed. Works perfectly.

I had to make/cut my own seal for water leaks in the grove. Excellent! There were two professionals to fix the leak - neither fixed it. I did a little research - I bought this material and figured it out myself. Both professionals wanted to replace metal parts for a lot of money. After investigating the issue further, I figured that a better fit through the gasket might actually work. It was like this.

I couldn't find a replacement gas can gasket for my gas can so my only alternative was to buy this sheet as neoprene is said to work with gas. I don't have the right size hole punch so I had to mark the size and cut out with scissors. The cutting quality is not very good, but it works. If I can keep an eye on the rest of the sheet metal, I might be better able to handle the next task when I need to change the washer.

Used for gaskets and flapper valves. sealing rings. It's not as hard as leather used for straps (80A) but much harder than neoprene used for mouse pads (30A). Adhesion rating coefficient. This is a regular sheet - with no glue. I used Hylomar to build seals.

I needed a thick piece of thin rubber mat for use under a truck battery. I bought a custom steel battery box and an Odyessy battery. After the box was installed and the battery snapped into place, I noticed that the battery had moved about 1/4 inch from side to side. I used a rubber mat and cut it to fit the bottom of the battery compartment, inserted the battery and locked it in place. Because the mat was only 1/16th thick, it didn't interfere with the locking bracket over the battery. Now…

The smell is not as strong as I thought in some reviews. It's not a bad smell, it's very similar to new tires. One issue that was significant to my application was that the sheet is anything but square. So if you need to use the entire sheet, or want to use most of its area to cut out smaller square pieces, you need to take that into account. And this is more than insignificant, it is immediately noticeable to the naked eye. Again, if you want a full square sheet, it's useless.
