Review on Mainstay 33112 Slicer Stainless Steel by Claudia Brown

It was cheap and I didn't need anything fancy so I bought this egg slicer. Unfortunately, the design of this food slicer is very imperfect. Instead of pushing the egg from the top, he actually pushes the egg from the side. This causes him to attempt to retrieve the egg from the cradle. The thick plastic edges make it difficult to hold the egg in place (which isn't usually necessary, except the design pushes the egg out of the nest so you have to hold it with your finger). In addition, there is no cross-cutting function with this slider. A slight change in shape allows you to rotate and slice the egg crosswise (almost all egg slicers have this), but this slicer doesn't have that feature. Overall I would happily buy something else. It was cheap so I guess it's not the end of the world. I exchanged it after about a week.
