This kit worked for me
My main bike has disc brakes but I needed them to fix my kid's college bike. After 4 years on the Santa Barbara beach and many more times at different shipyards, the cables and metal on this bike were shot out. While I managed to keep the metal brake levers, I bought new shifters and two sets of cables. I'm so glad I got this inexpensive kit to finish the job. My original parts were corroded, sticky and falling apart. Now the old Trek shifts and stops like a new bike!
