My only complaint about this paint is that when I received it, it came inside the box they show in the pictures, and inside a shipping bag, and the box had pretty much just fallen apart like it was never glued properly, and the paints and brushes were all over the place inside the bag. Luckily, there was no damage, but this could have been a disaster another time. Considering how heavy the paint is, the company making it might want to use a stronger box.Other than that, I have not had quite the same experience others are saying about the paint being thin, but it might be the stock of paper I am using to test it on. What I am using to paint on is rather thick and not smooth, and what I have painted with so far is going on smoothly and I will not need a second coat. I am using darker colors only so far, so maybe I would for lighter ones, but I am fairly happy with it at this point and would get it again. The brushes that come with it are fairly good quality, better than what I have seen in some paint kits. Those along with the large variety of paints would make this a great kit for a beginner to start with.
