I had an issue with my EnGenius Technologies N-EnStation5 Long Range Wi-Fi Bridge and thought it might be a power issue. These devices do not use standard PoE, but rather a "proprietary" POE source that EnGenius calls a "24V/.6A Proprietary Compliant Source Active Ethernet (Power-over-Ethernet, PoE)". This Wi-Fi bridge was discontinued by EnGenius and I could not find any EnGenius mid-span POE injectors. Due to the fact that something is not working and I need to make this connection as soon as possible, I realized what I have to lose? I ordered a pair and they worked great to power my EnGenius APs. It turned out that the problem wasn't with the power injector, but with chipmunks or squirrels partially chewing through the CAT-6 cable to the external access point. At least I have backup jets that I know work and are inexpensive.
