This adapter was a good price and did what I needed to do convert a three-prong plug into a two-prong socket. There's a small red light that illuminates when the power is on, which came in handy with some on-board outlets that weren't powerful enough to power a laptop. From the red light we knew the power was on and the problem wasn't the power cord. We carry electronic chargers, cables, adapters etc in a little plastic bag and I've always wished that this adapter was designed to fold its prongs in and out when not in use (eg. Apple builds this into your power cords). With only one conversion option on this fork and given its size, it seems possible. I was glad the needles never punched a hole in the pocket or bag they were kept in, but it pained me to think about which way they were pointing since they turned out to be the biggest thing in an electronics bag, itself with their small size due to protruding pins. Just as good as other options for converting to Asian outlets when converting from three to two prongs, although I wonder if an American converter could do the job. Didn't take it to test.
