I purchased this camera after using a FLIR handheld for several years. As some others have pointed out, it does get recalibrated a few times during use, but not enough to be an inconvenience in my opinion. I love how it automatically shows the temperature range on the side, highlighting both the hottest and coldest spots, like many of the higher-end/more expensive FLIR cameras (which my old FLIR didn't have). Also, no ghosting occurs when it recalibrates when displaying something that doesn't have a fixed temperature (again, just like my old FLIR).
