I bought the bit after struggling with shallower holes when drilling 30 inch 3/4 and 7/8 deep holes in hard rock. It was a beast and did a great job, but suddenly the drill lost all power and speed due to the smell of burnt electronics. It was as if the engine had shifted from 6th to 3rd gear, only it had no torque or power. I hate to say it, but port cargo drills lasted longer despite training for half as long. I'll take it to their service center about 80 miles away and see what they say. I had 12 days past Amazon's 30 day return policy. The service link in your Amazon order will take you to the Bosch warranty center so you'll need to look for the tools page. I bought it on October 7th, 2019 and on November 23rd it died as it was only used on weekends. Thing looks brand new and spent $1000 on the tool that really protected it. Very disappointed but will update after taking it to the service center. I tried to buy the best tool I could afford for this project and I really hope it wasn't a mistake. Given that it broke just before I had a continuous 6 day interval to work on, the loss of time alone would be much more than the price of the tool. exactly what I wanted to avoid by buying quality. Update: Shop diagnostics was having an issue when the brushes got a low voltage period. It looks like it's not the drill but the power supply. At least that's what the technician thought. Since then the gun has worked without any problems. Ratings changed to show that this is not a manufacturer issue according to the service center.
