My last lasted 22 years with two conversions.

This one is stronger than my old one. I mainly use it for digging trenches and plate leaks. Do not use a new round shovel for digging. It was bad design. Costs money. I lost my last one in the fires or he'd still be an ass kicker. I drilled many 4" holes in the sidewalk for a new drain. You need a car to drive to make this much easier. This is the best Bosch tool. I'm not a fan of their cordless tools (too weak). Milwaukee is better

Pros
  • Best power-to-weight ratio 14.1 ft-lbs. Impact energy
Cons
  • Unsure

Too heavy for anything but drilling or cutting.

Not impressed as it's so heavy it can't be used for what I normally use a hammer drill for. Side and corner drillings in the chimney. I'm sure it's amazing for splitting or drilling, but for me it's too heavy for anything but that. I don't blame the drill itself, but I know it takes a BIG person to put this drill in any situation other than up/down. I have drilled thousands of holes with a 1 9/16" or 1 1/2" hammer drill and my favorite products are Bosch products. But it's a real beast that I…

Pros
  • Vibration control for all-day comfort
Cons
  • unreliable

Stopped working after very light use.

I bought the bit after struggling with shallower holes when drilling 30 inch 3/4 and 7/8 deep holes in hard rock. It was a beast and did a great job, but suddenly the drill lost all power and speed due to the smell of burnt electronics. It was as if the engine had shifted from 6th to 3rd gear, only it had no torque or power. I hate to say it, but port cargo drills lasted longer despite training for half as long. I'll take it to their service center about 80 miles away and see what they say. I…

Pros
  • Turbo power for more torque and speed in percussion mode
Cons
  • Long lead time
