I wanted a set for my bedroom. I read a lot of reviews before buying the T20 because I was wondering how they compare to the T40. Some say the T20 is weak in the mid/low frequencies, while others say the T40 is too strong in the mid/low frequencies. In my experience it really depends on the room you are using them in. I ended up putting the T20 in my office and the T40 in my bedroom. Why? My bedroom has a lot of heavy stuff (soft velvet headboard and bed, bedside tables, lampshades and curtains) so it needs an extra T40 mid/bass boost. I also placed each speaker on a separate bedside table to create a larger soundstage. My office is a large room with higher ceilings and less sound-absorbing surfaces. However, the T20 speakers are next to my computer monitor, and I sit much closer to them. I feel that both settings satisfy my need for accurate sound and exceed my need for loudness. Finally, the T30 sounds the same as the T20, but I can't guarantee that because I gave the T30 to a friend before moving. All three models offer excellent value for money. *** Summary *** If you have dense objects in your room that absorb low frequencies, get the T40. Otherwise, if you need Bluetooth, get the T30. Otherwise take T20.
