I just changed the timing belt on my 3.4 liter Toyota V-6 and was so impressed with this tool that I had to write a quick review. This is American quality. a tool that made a rather difficult task a little bit easier. Eliminates the need to remove the timing belt tensioner from the vehicle to compress it. After changing the belt and partially reassembling the engine to check the timing marks, I found that a tooth on both cams was misaligned. So I have to do everything again! Without this tool I would still swear. An important note about using the tool: be patient! You need to let the oil flow out of the tensioner, so be very careful when compressing. I would turn the nut on the tool about half a turn, then wait about 30 seconds, and then turn it again. Use the locking pin to feel for the hole in the tensioner shaft while squeezing the tensioner. Be patient and you will be rewarded with a successful belt change.
