After reading the reviews I decided to use this iXF crankset on my Diamondback Overdrive 29er and it was the best decision I've made. I had to replace my original right angle gimbal anyway as it rattled and felt loose when riding and as I never use my derailleur I opted for the cleaner 1x setup. Installation was very easy and straightforward. Lots of good installation videos to keep an eye on. Just make sure you set everything up on a clean surface and use lube sparingly where needed. After installing everything and having a few rides, I can say that this system is definitely a lot more robust and can handle some of the good jumps I've already made (at 230 pounds hitting it hard when I'm on the pedals stand). Really good facility, especially for the price. If you're building a cheap 1x setup, this crankset is a great way to upgrade your bike without spending a lot of money. For the record, I use a JGbike Elite chainring so the total rebuild cost was about $80 including the Shimano bottom bracket which I also purchased. and spend a few bucks more to get a Shimano Hollowtech BB bottom bracket and keep the one that came with it as a spare. I can't say anything good or bad about the included BB as I haven't used it, but I've seen a few reviews from people saying they've had some issues with it over time, so I decided to splurge a bit brag in more detail about the famous quality in this area of my bike. Nothing against a crankset, just a personal choice.
