First, you'll need a few feet (2-5) of 14-18 gauge red and yellow wire to attach the thermostat to the heatsink. I would say that this advice would apply to everyone. I bought this to replace the adjustable fan control module on my Flex-a-lite fan in a 2000 Jeep Wrangler (TJ). The module is great. It settled down quickly and could survive off-road through streams, mud pits, and for long periods with the fan module on (about an hour at a time). The fact that I can now have a small redundant module in the glove box, along with an amplifier to load that module, is worth it. If you have a Flex-a-lite fan, just grab it and throw it away.
