Review on ๐Ÿพ Sherpa on Wheels Pet Carrier: Convenient Black Rolling Bag for Pet Transportation by Janet Williams

and I'm sure he didn't like the fact that he bumped into my feet while we...

A real life saver. I had a medium sized Sherpa so my cat could fly in the southwest (it fit under every seat) but as my cat grew it became too heavy to carry around the airport. He's a twenty pound giant cat - a bit overweight, but he's got a huge build. It hurt me to carry him on my shoulder, it hurt me to keep getting up and struggling through slow security, and I'm sure he didn't like me bumping my legs while walking, more if I. I tried several backpacks before trying this one. He fits in perfectly, even better than the average Sherpa (minus the space above his head). It worked great at the airport and was easy to use in the car. But there are a few small flaws. 1) It doesn't fit sideways under the southwest seats like the old one did. Luckily the flight attendants didn't care, it wasn't too long. 2) The zipper doesn't open that wide, which is great for keeping cats inside, but makes it harder for them to bring them in or force them out if they don't want to. I literally turned my cat upside down to put her up there for the flight. And to be safe, I literally had to pour it out on him. And when I first got it and he was excited to nap in it, the hole made it difficult for him to get in on his own (especially if it wasn't next to a wall, which I enjoyed looking at). All in all, this is the best option I've found so far. Old Sherpa has worked for five years, 8 flights and dozens of vet visits and is still in great shape. I hope I can say the same about that.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Minor issues
