Perfect for hiking in Wisconsin winter weather. Most of the sidewalks and streets I walk on are clean, but there are often icy patches. I've tested them on some icy patches and they hold up well. They give me confidence to walk in winter even in the early darkness we have every day now. I find it best to put them on the boots before the boots are on your feet and then bring them to the door to avoid damaging the floor. When I did, they were very safe throughout my walk. I wear women's size 6.5 and the size S was perfect. I highly recommend this product.
