I bought this ant farm for my granddaughter. It is very well made and has so many different compartments to watch the ants at work! It's easy to get ants, as well as water and feed the ants. We really liked this product! We had an issue during shipping and got great service and a solution right away! I highly recommend this product and company!

Very cool little ant farm. HOWEVER, there is a large gap between the one tube that connects the gel section to the female section. We've been looking for ants all morning. We grabbed it and put it back. We couldn't find out where they came from until we OBSERVED the ant that came from here. The two caps are also very loose so I sealed them with tape. What's the point of having an ant farm if you don't take care of it? My son is very scared.

Bought for first grade. It was easy to use the ants well and the kids could see and see. My only caveat is that the square feeding area is a two-story coupe. This compartment is not removable or openable in any way for lower level cleaning. Unfortunately, the ants decided to take all their dead there and now I'm trying to clean it up, but without much success. When I tried to pull it out, the plastic mesh got tangled up a bit, so I gave up.

We lost ants all day after adding ants from the bag. Finally found where they ran from. The house was not pushed through to the end, which meant that the tweezers included in the kit fit between the pipe and the house. When I tried to push it all the way down it just pops back out. First of all, it is made clear that there are no ants in the kit. So little. It is short-sighted not to read the description of the item you are purchasing. I say she's almost ready to go. The pipes included in the kit do not fit in the holes. You can sand the sides of the pipe by rubbing it against concrete or brick. You won't remove the tubes much or maybe at all once you've put the ants in, but it will increase durability as well. I would sand the sides a bit at the ends. The instructions…

We went from "This is going to be a fun tutorial" to "Oh my god how many escaped?!" So at first we had some problems with the pipe setup. One side was too big, the other too small. An attempt to plug the holes again failed because obviously none of the plugs fit again. The husband fiddled with them and managed that they did not move and there was no space. Added reaper ants. It was easy to set up. I bought two. I cut a tube in half to connect them side by side. Then they connected the "feeding zones" to the penetration zone. I punched holes (with slits) in the gel as suggested in the comments section. The ant tubes were cold (they came 2 days early) so they willingly dumped them, one tube in each section. Got this for my kids. The first gel we got was too hard (maybe because it's winter) but the ants couldn't dig through it for two weeks. So we got replacements and in just a few days they had already made a long tunnel! It's beautiful and easy to set up. As a precaution, we sealed the lids with tape.
