Review on 🪑 Howard RS0016 Restor-A-Shine Wood Finish Polishing Compound - 16 oz: Revitalize and Shine Your Wood Furniture by Daniel Hhneverdie

I've been doing some kitchen cabinet work lately and decided to take the opportunity to improve my finishing skills. For new work, this material easily replaces the traditional pumice and rot polishing steps. For reference, my current projects use semi-gloss Minwax polyacrylic varnish on hardwood maple or wenge. The process goes something like this: * Sand bare wood with progressively finer grades of sandpaper up to 320 grit until smooth. * Wipe the wood with a damp cloth and allow to air dry. *Apply polyacrylic in several layers, sand wet. with 400 grit between coats until the wood is completely covered.* Gradually sand the final coat with fine 1000 grit sandpaper.* Apply Restor-A-Shine to a soft cotton cloth. the look is exactly what i want. I suspect I could sand down to 2500 grit first for a shinier finish, but I expect it to be glassy after sanding.
