I bought one of Dorman's passenger side power window motor kits a year ago when the OEM unit failed and it worked great. Well, last month the old driver's side window unit failed so I bought a Dorman 748-131 unit to replace it. The replacement is easy and took about 90 minutes, there are several videos online showing the process. Anyone with little mechanical skill should be able to do repairs. Only basic tools are required: a small flathead screwdriver, a #2 Phillips screwdriver, and a metric socket wrench. Doing it yourself will save you $300 over going to the dealer. The driver's side automatic power window function worked fine after replacing the regulator motor kit. After the replacement is complete, you need to fully close and lift the window several times to reset the auto up/down function.
