So I have two 4x4s, each with a conversion kit. In each set I bought an overland ring and a soft shackle. Soft braces are very good and if you don't already have soft braces I think this is a good buy. As I had one in each setup but wanted two I bought this as one ring as I already had other soft braces. Both rings fit in the supplied pouch. The rings are very beautiful and smooth. I didn't need them for salvage but I used them on winch rewinds and they worked great. Very easy. They're way better and easier to use, IMHO, than the old school. I still have one of these, but it's going to be a bad day if I have to drag it out. I keep two rings and a shackle in my consoles along with the winch controls so I'm ready to go when needed. They are small and light enough so it's not scary. Much lighter than my old school.
