Looks great in external accessories

The recovery ring was well packaged and undamaged. The weight seems sufficient to ensure safe operation, but not too heavy like a jerky block. Haven't had a chance to use the ring yet but will post a review once I have the winch installed.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Cleanliness

I call it what I see it

I really appreciate the engineering behind most of the survival gear I wear. Haven't had a chance to use it yet, but I think it's good. But it's nice to know that if the need arises I can count on the people who made it from the best materials.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Modern

Poor build quality.

It's cool except some decoration is missing inside the ring. I hope this doesn't add friction to the system. I feel it with my finger. I was happy to find a comparable product for 1/3 the price. Do you get what you pay for? I see other reviewers have posted similar photos. There must be an error in the finishing.

It gets the job done for a fraction of the price

It's clearly made in China and the price reflects that value. The product has some imperfections and some touch-ups. price expected. This article should work when I need it. The article is solid and I don't see any issues other than those noted. Would I buy again as it is a functional item.

Oddly heavy but gets the job done

It's a bit heavy but otherwise as advertised. Worked great. I was concerned about friction building up, but I shouldn't have. It's lighter than a D-ring, generates less heat than a D-ring (operator's opinion is not scientific), and is as strong as advertised. The only downside is that it's a bit heavier than I would have thought based on the weight of its competitor.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Not automatic

Good quality. However they all seem disorganized

Ordered 2 4" rings, only received one 6" ring. Called to find out what's going on. And they said they upgraded me to 6" because they ran out of 4". They said they would receive some later this week and that they would send me one as soon as they were in stock. I told them that I wanted 4 inches, that I could do with a 6 inch, but that I'd rather have the other 4 inch. I don't understand all these problems. They were in stock when I ordered them. And I waited about a month to get what they had…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Very expensive

It's great if you already have soft shackles.

So I have two 4x4s, each with a conversion kit. In each set I bought an overland ring and a soft shackle. Soft braces are very good and if you don't already have soft braces I think this is a good buy. As I had one in each setup but wanted two I bought this as one ring as I already had other soft braces. Both rings fit in the supplied pouch. The rings are very beautiful and smooth. I didn't need them for salvage but I used them on winch rewinds and they worked great. Very easy. They're way…

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • good but not great
