Review on πŸ’ͺ Enhance Precision and Safety with the WEN 4288T Cast Iron Bench Grinder Pedestal Stand with Water Pot by Scott Gamache

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Fits perfectly with the Dewalt bench grinder. Add height with wood and casters.

Fits snugly on my Dewalt DW756 coffee grinder with the included accessories. I agree with others that at exactly 30 inches tall it was disappointingly small. I was hoping it would be closer to 3ft. I followed the previous reviews and bought rollers for it. Mounted on heavy duty 5" locking casters with 1/2" threaded studs that fit perfectly into the mounting holes (as seen in the posted image). With 5" wheels I now have an overall height of 37.5". The 5" caster assembly adds 7" to the height. Adding casters to increase height is better for your back but compromises stability as the caster surface is much smaller than triple support. Stability is definitely less, however, as others point out that the casters can help prevent walking when the grinder is on. If you're just grinding small items like lawnmower blades, it's pretty stable. I don't recommend adding rollers if you regularly grind heavily, it just isn't stable enough for heavy roller use. It was easy to assemble and I am very happy that my grinder is no longer hanging on my workbench. The ideal height is 36 inches, not 30 inches. A 3" or 4" roll will fit.
