Decent quality for the price. The only parts that .

Decent quality for the price. The only cast iron parts are the base and chilling pan. Plate made of pressed steel. I use it as a vise stand and it should be strong enough for my intended use. The strength and quality is more than enough for a bench grinder. Update 12/30/15 I read in other reviews that this stand cannot be used with a vise. My 6" vise is bolted on top and I've used it many times. When I use them for heavier work, I screw them to the floor. I changed the universal joints on the…

It's good value for money

It's good value for money. But. I bought two - one for my Tormek wet grinder and one for my Wen VS grinder. I saw several reviews of users putting bikes on this stand and I was dying to do the same. I have attached three 2 inch casters with locks on both and there is a pretty good chance they will tip over. Even with roller locks, it's not stable. I'm hoping to attach the sharpening station box to a (the sharpener sits on top of the box) and the single sided sharpening system. So I will remove…

Worth buying. Best in Power Tools and Hand Tools

I got a WEN bench grinder for Christmas and wanted to build a board stand for it. Then I saw this stand on Revain, read the reviews. The iron stand was delivered right to my doorstep (along with a few other purchases). The modest price convinced me to buy it. When it arrived I found the assembly instructions a bit misleading and something was missing from the hardware package. A call to the WEN reference number listed in the instructions cleared my concerns. Assembly was a bit fiddly, but not…

Overall good decent stand.

In general quite a decent stand. It assembles very quickly with no problems. They included screws to mount the sander but I had to get longer ones as I needed to put my sheet of plywood on as I use the Wolverine sharpening system attached to it along with my slow speed Wen sander. I installed the base on a wooden platform. Since I don't want to drill holes for screws in my garage floor until I'm sure where its final resting place will be, and since I'm moving workshop tools, fastening to the…

Inexpensive and easy to build.

I bought this with a 6 inch WEN 4276 bench grinder. The stand is high quality, stable and easy to set up. There are 4 (or 5) grub screws and a Phillips hook screw on the front. The mounting plate has many options and I believe it will work well for many different tools mounted on it. The frame has a wall thickness of about 1/8 the thickness and a cavity in the middle. The stand sits on a ledge in the base preventing it from going all the way through the base and is secured with two set screws…

Fasteners 101 Best Among Power and Hand Tools

If you got what I got it looks like this (parts list and assembly instructions are imprecise and unclear): 1) This plastic bag with nuts, bolts and washers (seems) designed to be able to mount your coffee grinder on this stand. That's what I used them for. But nowhere in the building instructions or parts list will you ever find out about it. 2) With the exception of the screw and washer that secures the power cord hook, all fasteners required to securely assemble the product are pre-installed…

Fits snugly on my Dewalt DW756 coffee grinder with the included accessories. I agree with others that at exactly 30 inches tall it was disappointingly small. I was hoping it would be closer to 3ft. I followed the previous reviews and bought rollers for it. Mounted on heavy duty 5" locking casters with 1/2" threaded studs that fit perfectly into the mounting holes (as seen in the posted image). With 5" wheels I now have an overall height of 37.5". The 5" caster assembly adds 7" to the height…

Terribly low altitude

Wen, as usual, did a good job of finding a home/hobbyist product at an attractive price point, rather than finding the obvious flaws of other instrument sources such as HF. This stand is strong enough, easy to assemble, and the mounting plate has many slots and fasteners. I installed a Palmgren grinder and it was a perfect fit. The photo of this booth on Revain is purely a joke. I'm 6ft 2in tall and when configured as in the photo the water tub is below my knees! - this stand is short, very…
