Review on EBC Brakes DP31409C Redstuff Ceramic by Jonathan Lamp

2001 Protege. These things bite! They're good even when they're cold. In low heat (light braking or normal city driving for a few minutes is even better). Much better than OEM or similar. It doesn't bite as hard as the HAWKS, but runs quietly and produces little dust. For the track I use the HAWKS, for hard canyoning and every day they are hard to beat. I've had them for about a year now and the rotor thickness is still good as are the pads; So they don't eat rotors like more aggressive pads. As far as feedback goes it's good but the modulation could be better as they just bite and bite. Heat is not a problem and is good for you. Again, I will switch to either the EBC racing formula or something else for the track. Overall very happy with the extra stopping power and the quality of the pads.
