It does work, even if there is space between them
I was nervous when I read some reviews and saw someone saying it doesn’t work for all doors. Thankfully, even with the magnetic piece being about a half an inch away from the alarm it still works perfectly. It’s super easy to install and can be heard easily from anywhere in the house. Great buy! I’m going to see if I can get some extra alarms.
