It's so simple that I'm shocked others have so many problems. I will say I didn't have to cut or shave the door to install it. I'm not sure if I'm lucky but WOW! It took me 20 minutes to remove the old doorknob. This thing was so confusing that I wasn't optimistic about installing a deadbolt lock. I was wrong! The guide is simple but very effective. This lock is reliable and I am very happy with this purchase. All I need to install this deadbolt lock is a Phillips head screwdriver. The lock is a little tricky to lock and unlock, but it makes me very happy knowing it's locked.
