
I took this thing apart, reread the instructions and couldn't figure out how to control the amount of hot water that mixes into this valve. It turns out that this is not in the attached instructions. Now it makes no sense. However, the setting of the maximum hot water limit is described in the installation instructions for the shower handle. It would make sense to have it in both. I love the construction and even the homeowner can easily take it apart and put it back together with no fuss. I just can't love it because an important part of how this device works isn't even described in the user manual. For those confused, when you remove the handle from the shower, it's a threaded black plastic piece with a loop at the standard 2 o'clock position. It can be removed and turned counter-clockwise to find the desired heat level.
