5 stars for now, let's look at durability

This item won't win awards for fit and finish but at this price point I would consider it value for money. There's not more than enough material, but nothing feels flimsy and everything works together and works as advertised. They even included some small rubber grommets to mount the horn to reduce vibration, so that was a nice touch. The air hose doesn't look very high quality, but it's cheap at Lowe's and easy to replace if it starts to crack and start leaking. I had a hard time finding a spot in my engine bay where it would fit, but I knew what I was getting myself into. Sound quality is clean and reliable, with a midrange that doesn't sound high and shrill, but at the same time isn't too deep and sounds like it's pretending to be something it's not. The volume is solid and well above average for standard or maybe even non-original horns. It's loud enough that I'm afraid they'll say it's too loud if I take it for a test, but we'll see. Texas law just says it can't be "excessively loud," whatever that means. My last horn that made a tone was similar to this compressor style horn but with a smaller bell (Wolo big bad either way, not recommended). I think it failed because it was mounted low and exposed to a lot of water, so this time I installed the compressor higher in the engine bay where it's better protected. In a few months I will update the information on how it behaves after heavy rains and puddles. Happy with the price so far as long as it keeps working! As a bonus, the poorly translated instructions are pretty hilarious.
