Do not add to an established aquarium during a water change - the water will become cloudy from stubborn bacterial buildup.
Causes a white bacterial coating in the water. Only suitable for a new tank. Flowers indicate bacteria are thriving in the water; So it's probably (only) good for the initial tank cycle. The instructions say it should also be added at water changes. Do not do that. Produces cloudy water that takes over a week to clear. In an established aquarium you need bacteria in the filter and substrate; not in the water.
