I just installed a complete water filtration system for my whole house. I have only used Pentek filters and housings. I'm very happy with the performance of my system and how well everything went together. Here's a breakdown of all the components I used in my system. I've spent a lot of time researching what works and found that getting to grips with each Pentek filter and its features was a challenge. The aim was to reduce the amount of sludge, iron deposits from old iron pipes and remove any chemical taste. Now the water tastes great and is crystal clear. Components: Pentek Big Blue 20" Filter Housing Housing Bracket for 10" and 20" Big Blue Filter Filters TO ORDER: 1 Pentek DGD-2501-20 Spun Polypropylene Filter, 20 micron, dual stage to 1 micron. 2-Pentek 155263, RFFE20- BB Radial deferrous filter Pentek RFCC-BB 3 activated carbon filters You can add another filter after the media carbon filter if you want Not necessary but it is an option, or run 2 sediment filters at the beginning of the system - Various copper pipes and PVC- Pipes to build the system I highly recommend a bypass valve and a way to shut off the water to your filters if you need to replace them without losing water pressure in the house - I've had a nearly 0 psi drop through 3 filters and experienced no noticeable drop change in flow.
