Surprising due to poor intestinal absorption/nutrition

I'm a bit different than most in that I take amino acids as I don't have a colon and have an ileostomy bag. My food goes by quickly and I started having things that indicated nutritional deficiencies along with the fact that I was already in pretty poor health for various reasons. Anyway, we decided to give amino acids a try after realizing that I might not have been getting my essential aminos if I couldn't break down the protein I was eating in time. First, it's a rancid, unpleasant taste. Absolutely awesome. How to lick coins that are dipped in dust and sprinkled with bleach. My routine consists of a heaping tablespoon of 8 ounces of juice like cherry/cranberry/grape juice and a good squirt of Mio drops or similar. It will still taste sour and unpleasant, but you won't be able to drink it anymore. For me the results are worth it. I've stopped losing mass in my legs, my daily headaches have stopped, I've stopped being cold all the time. My blood counts started to improve and I had more and more energy to work with. I started feeling well enough to exercise more. My doctor and I are very, very satisfied. This particular brand is the highest listed dosage of any amino acid supplement without any "extras" that I can find. Most don't label the amount or add caffeine. I had gone out a week before and the ailments (cold, tiredness and headache) started to return. A few days after restarting I felt better. I take about 1 bottle a month. I really think people with altered gut should talk to their doctor about trying this, especially if they have persistent fatigue, chills, and headaches. My doctor and I are very happy with the results I've had.
