Pretty quiet drive that won't bother you when it's on for a long time. That's a lot of storage space for the price. USB connection has options. The writing speed is quite constant and corresponds to the technical specifications. It's a good drive, but don't expect the speed you'd expect from USB-C. USB-C reaches 20 Gbps and can power the device without an additional power adapter. It isn't what it is. The specs say it's 195 Mbps, which isn't fast. Fast hard drives from 500 Mbit/s. That's about half the speed of USB 2.0. It's still good for a backup drive and for those without USB-A ports. Just know what you're getting. It comes with a reasonable length USB-C to USB-C cable. It also comes with a USB-A to USB-C connector. Both seemed comfortable to me. I would give it 5 stars if it was powered by a USB-C cable. (But if that's the case, then note that it couldn't be used flexibly in the old USB-A port.) UPDATE: 5 stars is actually fast. The specs say 195 Mbps, but on USB 3.2 Windows, 4x to reasonably long bursts are reported at 8x that speed under real-world transfer conditions under optimal conditions. Windows reports MBps, which stands for megabytes per second, while Mbps stands for megabits per second. Proof in hours, transfers are fast. Optimal conditions are large files. All tiny file transfers take a long time to shake hands before they start recording. It must first add an entry to the directory structure and then start moving the data. For large files, moving takes longer than writing to the directory.
