These are premium oil filters for Duramax. Be careful where you buy it on Amazon. If it's a low recall shipper, it may get damaged, and two and three packs are cheaper from other sellers, just a day or two slower. Also check Walmart, they sometimes sell this filter cheaper on the website. All in all if you know that Baldwin and Mobil 1 filters are some of the easiest and best to filter. Both have stainless steel canisters, synthetic filter media and a good stainless steel cage to prevent breakage in heavy duty applications. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if they were made in the same factory. HOWEVER, compared to a parallel cut, Baldwin has better media placement, slowing the flow of oil through the filter, while Mobil 1 is more densely packed with media. In my opinion Mobil 1 is too restrictive and can damage your oil pump and possibly cause overheating as well. That's why Baldwin is the best partner for filter assembly. Mobil 1 is better suited for heavy trucks that accumulate more hours than kilometers, allowing you to improve filtering in the long term.
