The OTC 3183 Battery Load Tested is compact and easy to use. It has fairly solid battery clamps with enough cable length to be able to hold the tester while standing next to the battery. It comes with a product warranty card and simple instructions. Simply set the terminals, red to (+) and black to (-), connect the load by pressing the red toggle switch for 10 seconds, then read the final voltage. Compare this voltage to the supplied scale for good, normal and bad batteries and you are good to go. It gets very hot during a short test, so be careful not to touch the top or back of the device or place it on anything that has been damaged by excessive heat until it cools. Overall it looks good and serves its purpose.
