I'm doing this review because I've seen a few bad reviews and I just want to say that these cases must be an accident. I've been using these leashes for several years and have never had any problems. I surf the waves regularly and I think I snapped an old leash and I'm pretty sure one was cut off my fin. I was in Mexico a few months ago and had to turn in my board for huge 20ft sets! I was completely confused, I thought I was going to die, but the leash didn't break.
